Web 2.0 Tools Review: 1.Mindmeister
This is an excellent source that can be used by both teachers and students. You can organize and save your class notes, brainstorm for a project (even collaboratively!). It is free and once you sign up it will began an archive so that all of your notes, no matter the subject, can be saved.
2.Rubistar
Excellent source that teachers can use to create rubrics. The site gives examples of projects that include a description, a rubric, resources to use and tips for the teacher. This is a free tool and is very helpful!
3. Visuwords
This is a graphical dictionary. You simply type in a word and it will give you the meanings, it is also a thesaurus
4. Classroom Architect
This is a really cool tool for teachers. You enter the deminsions of your classroom and you can plan the layout of your classroom. As a teacher it is important to create a classroom environment that promotes learning.
5. Evernote
This is a site that you can store information of all kinds and it will organize it for you. It does not serve any educational purposes other than managing assignments and helping to stay organized.
6. Animoto
This is a tool that allows you to create videos from pictures, video clips or whatever you would like to include. It would be a great way to make a presentation, but other then that there was little educational value.
